Korea is situated in the Korean peninsula of Eastern Asia. Korea shares borders with China and Russia. It is also bound by the three seas- Yellow sea, East China Sea, Sea of Japan.
The southern and western part of the peninsula is plains, whereas the eastern and northern parts are mountainous. The official language of Korea is Korean and this is also the most commonly spoken language by the people here. World’s oldest surviving astronomical observatory, Cheomseongdae is located in Korea. This is a 9-meter high observatory built in 633.
The varied geography of United States reflects in its climate. The main trading partners of United States are Canada, Mexico, Japan and the United Kingdom. The leading exports from United States include office machinery, scientific equipment, airplanes, aviation parts and chemical products.
The main imports include petroleum and fuel products, transportation equipment and manufactured goods. United States is one of the leading producers of energy in the world and it is also said to be the biggest consumer of the same. United States is famous for the efficient use of natural resources.
