Guatemala is the northern most of the American nations. The neighboring countries of Guatemala are Mexico, Belize, Honduras and El Salvador. Mixco and Villa Nueva are the largest cities in Guatemala. Guatemala is the largest and the populous country in the Central America.
The official language of this region is Spanish. Two mountain chains enter the country from west to east and this divides the country into three major regions namely, the highlands, Pacific coast and the Peten Region. The main exports of the country are coffee, sugar, textiles, fresh vegetables and bananas.
United States consists of 48 conterminous states which occupies the mid continent, Alaska in the north western side of North America and Hawaii Island in the mid-pacific ocean.
